A 50kW solar system is a commercial system that consists of high-efficiency solar panels, a solar inverter, solar accessories, and, in some cases, solar batteries. This is a high-capacity generation system that is typically installed on commercial properties or in areas with high demand for electricity.
This system helps in achieving complete energy independence and lowering your business’s energy bill expenditure. A 50kW solar system can generate an average of 6000 units per month throughout the year. That much power is more than enough to power your schools, medium sized factories or businesses, hotels, and other establishments.
50kW solar system price
Investing in a 50kW system to power your medium-sized business with solar electricity will not only reduce your power bills but also dramatically increase your profits in the long run. This 50kW solar system requires approximately 300 square metres of shadow free installation space. You can also do customization in a 50kW solar system to meet your requirements, including the battery backup needed to power your load.
There are three types of 50kW solar systems on the market, so it’s worth your time to read the complete information and select the best type of solar system that meets all your needs.

#1. Price List Of 50kW Solar System
The reduction in solar panel prices over the years has further brought the system price down. Any solar system’s price is measured in terms of solar price per watt, so the price of a 50kW solar system ranges from Rs.42 to Rs.75 per watt, as mentioned below.
As electricity prices have risen over the last decade, many people are now realizing the benefits of going solar. If you’re thinking of availing the benefits of solar by installing a 50kW solar system, it’s important to understand the different types of solar system first.
Solar power systems are classified into three types, as listed below. So let’s dive into these types so you can better understand and select the one that’s best suited to your place.
An on-grid solar system is a grid-tie system that will be directly connected to the government grid. The electricity you generate using this solar system will be used to run your load directly. When the solar panels are not generating electricity during nights, the utility grid will provide power to your home and business.
When an on-grid solar system is producing more power than your load, the excess power will automatically be fed into the utility grid. In order to supply the electricity to the grid, a solar system requires a distribution panel, net-metering system, and on grid solar inverter. However, this system works only when the main government grid is available.
A 50kW on-grid solar system includes high-quality solar panels, an on-grid solar inverter, ACDC/DCDB, and other solar components. All of these components’ specifications are provided below.
Fasteners, Cable Tie , Crimping Tool, Earthing Kit, Lighting Arrestor
Selling Price
Rs.21,00,000 (Inclusive of all taxes)
#4. Off-Grid 50kW Solar System
An off-grid solar system is a stand alone system that works independently without a utility grid. In a 50kW off grid solar system, you will get solar panels, off-grid solar inverter, solar batteries and other solar accessories. This system is specially designed to provide long power backups during power outages or nights.
Solar panels generate electricity by absorbing the sunlight in the daytime and run your connected load. The excess or unconsumed solar energy can be stored in the solar batteries and will be utilized later when required. This 50kW off-grid solar system is ideal for remote areas where government grid connections are unavailable or where people want their own energy generation system without being dependent on the utility grid.
A 50kW off-grid solar system comes with excellent features and great specifications. This system has premium quality solar panel, highly efficient MPPT solar inverter and C10 rated solar battery. You can see all these specifications below.
Fasteners, Cable Tie , Crimping Tool, Earthing Kit, Lighting Arrestor
Selling Price
Rs.32,50,000 (Inclusive of all taxes)
#5. Hybrid 50kW Solar System
A hybrid solar system combines both the functionality of on-grid solar system and off-grid solar system. It can be connected to the government grid and also with solar batteries. The solar batteries allow the load to run when there is no grid available.
When a solar power system’s production exceeds the consumption, the excess power will be stored in solar batteries. This stored electricity can further be used during the power cut or when the system produces less electricity than needed.
Hybrid solar system on the other hand can be connected to the utility grid. This enables you to export the electricity to the government through net-metering.
A hybrid solar system combines the benefits and specifications of both off-grid solar system and on-grid solar system. Its detailed specifications are listed below.
There is up to 40% subsidy on solar for hybrid & on-grid solar systems. No subsidy is available for off-grid solar systems.
You will get the delivery within 10 days from the date of order & installation within 10 days from the date of delivery.
#6. Subsidy on Solar System
Purchasing a solar system is a huge investment in itself. Many people would like to install a solar system but are unable to do so due to the high initial cost. Therefore, to promote green energy and help people in installing solar systems across India, the central government has launched the MNRE solar subsidy scheme.
People in India can now get solar systems installed anywhere thanks to government subsidies. The subsidy rates are as follows:
“We recommend installing an on-grid solar system (subject to power outages) if you are planning to install a 50kW solar system. A 50kW on-grid system is less expensive compared to other types of 50kW systems, and second, solar net-metering is also available for this system.”
However, if the grid electricity is not reliable in your area and often goes out for more than two hours, you can consider an off grid solar system or a hybrid solar system.
The 50kW solar system is generally used in large homes, farm houses, small schools, institutes, shops, petrol pumps, restaurants, hotels, PG as well as medium sized businesses.
