How does ETC solar water heater works?
Normal or cold water is filled in the storage tank till it flows into the tubes and fills them too. When the sun rises, the collectors absorb the solar energy and transfer it to the water inside the tube. As the water gets heated, it becomes lighter and rises to top, above the cold water. The top header pipe carries the heated water into the tank till the temperature of water in the tank and the tube becomes identical. At the end of the day, the system is ready with an insulated storage tank full of hot water that can be used when required.
